From the Dark Valley to the Open Sky 🌿
This morning, I was quietly reading a book.
Nothing dramatic happened,
but as I slowed down, memories suddenly surfaced from the time after I gave birth.
I remembered how fragile I felt — physically and emotionally.
My body was in pain.
I was deeply exhausted, lacking sleep, lacking nourishment, lacking rest.
And mentally, I felt constantly alert.
I couldn’t fully relax anymore.
It was almost like my nervous system had entered a 24-hour survival mode.
Later, I realized something interesting:
Many mother animals naturally become highly protective after giving birth.
Their entire system shifts toward protecting their babies.
But when protection and fear continuously build on top of each other,
it can slowly turn into anxiety.
And during that season of my life,
I heard words like:
“anxiety”
and
“postpartum depression”
for the very first time.
At the time, those words felt foreign to me.
Almost uncomfortable.
But looking back now,
those words didn’t destroy me.
They opened a door.
A door into the world of the human mind.
Over the past seven years,
I’ve slowly moved through a long process of learning and understanding.
At first, I resisted it.
“Why am I feeling this way?”
“Is something wrong with me?”
But little by little, I began learning.
About the body.
About emotions.
About the nervous system.
About trauma.
About breath.
About ancient wisdom.
About modern science.
And slowly I realized:
Many things were not just “my personal problem.”
Some came from childhood.
Some from family patterns.
Some from generations before us.
Some simply from being human.
So over these years,
I began slowly rebuilding myself. 🌱
Sometimes through yoga.
Sometimes through music.
Sometimes through breathwork.
Sometimes through silence.
And honestly, sometimes healing simply meant:
getting through one difficult day. 😄
Looking back now,
I can see that the darkest period of my life also opened an entirely new space within me.
A space called:
awareness.
It helped me begin understanding myself.
And eventually, understanding others.
And maybe even understanding humanity a little more deeply.
Healing isn’t always becoming “fixed.”
Sometimes it’s simply:
climbing upward slowly from a dark valley.
Some days are easier.
Some days you slip backward.
Some days you question everything.
But one day,
you suddenly notice:
the sky was always there. ☁️
So if you’re walking through a difficult season right now,
I just want to gently say:
You are not alone.
Maybe you are not broken.
Maybe you are simply in the process of meeting yourself more deeply.
Slowly is okay. 🌿
